Crowds Make Merit with Bells to Welcome Jupiters Shift on 31 May: Astrologer Reveals Tips

Another tip to prepare for the major Jupiter transit on 31 May comes from Astrologer Chiang Pannawit, a well-known white magic expert. He traveled north to conduct a grand auspicious ceremony, jointly making merit by offering “bronze bells” at Wat Phra That Doi Tung in Chiang Rai Province. Present were Phra Phutthiwong Wiwat (Boonma Manito), abbot of Wat Phra That Doi Tung, Chiang Rai, and Phra Ratchawatcharayanamuni Wi. (Phisit Mettajitto), abbot of Wat Analayo Thippharam, Phayao Province.

He also shared tips on how to prepare for the major Jupiter transit on 31 May, explaining why the “bronze bell” is key to success.

The white magic expert explained that offering a bell is believed to create merit leading to fame, making one well-known and beloved by both deities and humans. Especially when the bell is made of “bronze,” it symbolizes auspiciousness and the achievement of one’s wishes. Offering or ringing the bell at a sacred, elevated place like Phra That Doi Tung is like sounding a gong to announce and open the path for fortune to resonate all the way to the heavens.

Chiang emphasized the importance of 31 May 2026, when Jupiter (the planet of luck and success) moves from Gemini into Cancer, entering the position called “Maha Ucchaya,” signifying peak prosperity. Making a grand merit, giving alms, or doing good deeds before this major planetary shift helps “clear negative energy and welcome positive energy,” preparing body and mind to receive wealth, prosperity, and stability like a pouring rain. Especially for those born under Cancer and Leo, whose fortunes are about to turn around, creating significant merit now will further boost their destiny to soar unstoppable.

He invited merit-makers to join in creating good karma to welcome abundance. Even if unable to personally join the bell-offering ceremony, Chiang advised devotees to prepare for great luck by regularly making merit through almsgiving, offering Sangha robes, donating, or reciting prayers and meditations at home, while remembering the sacred grace of holy beings.

According to traditional Buddhist beliefs, offering bells or gongs brings fame that spreads far and wide, producing a resonant, trustworthy voice and sacred speech. It grants respect and auspiciousness, leading to a flourishing life with luck, wealth, and renown. Good things will reflect back to the merit-maker and the sacred place.

Let us rejoice in merit and make a wholesome vow. The sound of bells or gongs symbolizes a call to mindfulness—awakening awareness to remain present. It serves as a skillful means to bring attention back inward, to one’s inner self.
