Constitution Day 2025 (English: Constitution Day) falls on 10 December 1932, an important day in Thailand established to commemorate the event when His Majesty King Prajadhipok (Rama VII) granted the first permanent constitution to the Thai people.
Constitution Day was established after Thailand transitioned from an absolute monarchy to a parliamentary democracy on 24 June 1932, when King Prajadhipok (Rama VII) proclaimed the temporary constitution of Siam. Three days later,
on 10 December 1932, he granted the “Constitution of the Kingdom of Siam 1932,” the first permanent constitution of Thailand. To date, Thailand has promulgated a total of 20 constitutions, as follows:
