Mini Noodle Pink Cart Beloved by Ang Thong Market Locals Serves Hearty Bowls for 30 Baht

Mae Ped from Ang Thong came up with the idea of a tiny pink cart serving charcoal-grilled noodles directly to market stalls, offering affordable prices and flavors that delight the market community.

Anyone walking through Ang Thong fresh market in the early morning might notice a tiny pink cart, just 90 centimeters wide, weaving through narrow aisles to deliver deliciousness everywhere. This is the Mini Noodle cart, a favorite among hardworking locals, known not only for its charm but also for its great taste and affordability in these times.

Mae Ped - Wimon Polhan, the owner of this mini cart concept, said that although the cart is small, it’s packed with quality. The highlight is the broth, which is rich and balanced for both the boat noodles and the bitter melon chicken versions. The broths are simmered to perfection, then bottled as stock. When the broth in the small pot runs low, it’s quickly replenished to keep the flavor consistent throughout the day. Importantly, they use charcoal stoves to heat, giving the noodles a continuously enticing aroma.

The key strength that wins the market locals’ hearts is the delivery service right to the stalls. No matter how narrow the aisles, this cart can reach customers. Vendors don’t have to leave their booths to buy; they can enjoy a hot, large bowl of noodles for just 30 baht.

Those wanting to taste this mini-sized but big-quality delight can find Mae Ped at Ang Thong fresh market on Mondays and Thursdays, Wiset Chai Chan market on Tuesdays and Sundays, and Pho Thong market on Wednesdays and Saturdays. The stall is closed on Fridays and operates only in the morning from 07:00 to 10:00.
