“Jeayon Kuatiao Kot Moo Krob”: Prachinburi Noodle Shop Owned by Former Factory Worker Who Quit to Start a Business

Jeayon Kuatiao Kot Moo Krob, a popular spot from Prachinburi province, features handmade crispy pork made fresh daily. Each bowl is priced at 40 baht, with customers flocking to line up in a musical chairs-like scramble, often leaving not enough seats.

Along Prachinthani Road, heading outbound toward Nakhon Nayok province, this location has become a must-visit for food lovers after word spread about Jeayon's braised chicken noodles, also known as Kuatiao Kot Moo Krob. Though the shop’s name sounds Korean, it offers authentic Thai flavors and is situated near Ban Phra Subdistrict Administrative Organization in Mueang District, Prachinburi. "Jeayon" is a former factory worker who decided to leave her regular job to pursue her dream of owning a restaurant. Together with her mother, "Jae Ben," they craft deeply flavorful dishes that attract full houses daily.

Beyond the delicious food, the warm and friendly atmosphere impresses many. The shop operates with a system where customers write their orders on paper slips and pass them through the kitchen window.

The most remarkable feature is the "self-payment system." After finishing their meals, customers inquire about the price and pay at the counter themselves. The shop emphasizes trust in its patrons, without staff checking to ensure everyone pays in full.

The signature highlight that compels customers to stand in line is the "Kuatiao Kot Moo Krob" noodles. This dish has become synonymous with the shop, breaking the traditional crispy pork noodle mold by serving a long strip of crispy pork, cut but still connected, draped over a large bowl of spicy tom yum or clear broth noodles.

Along with the generous crispy pork, other ingredients like minced pork, pork balls, marinated pork, and fresh squid are piled high, all starting at just 40 baht per bowl.

Jae Ben cheerfully said that although the shop’s costs are high, seeing her daughter earn a small profit and witnessing customers’ happiness is a rewarding gain.

Each day, Jeayon Kuatiao Kot Moo Krob prepares 30 kilograms of handmade crispy pork with a special recipe to ensure customers enjoy fresh, crispy-on-the-outside, tender-on-the-inside pork with no leftovers from previous days. Besides noodles, the menu includes made-to-order dishes and spicy Thai-Laos style papaya salad, all served with bold flavors.

The shop operates daily from 09:00 to 15:00, but items, especially the crispy pork, often sell out early. To avoid missing out, customers are advised to call ahead at 082–560 6733 oruse the delivery serviceas well.
