Behind this deliciousness is Mr. Phudit Sitthibamrungsuk, 62, a former company employee who retired and opened a traditional massage shop. However, the COVID-19 pandemic forced him to close the business. Since he and his wife already enjoyed eating noodles, he decided to turn the crisis into opportunity by traveling to learn the original boat noodle recipe in the Victory Monument area of Bangkok before bringing the expertise back to open a shop in his hometown.
Why set the price at 15 baht per bowl?
Mr. Phudit explained that the starting price of just 15 baht aims to let customers enjoy eating more freely, easily access delicious flavors, and try a variety of dishes without worrying about feeling too full or breaking the bank. Highlights include marinated pork and melt-in-your-mouth stewed beef. The pork is marinated with seasonings for a full day, making the meat tender, springy, fragrant with spices, and deeply flavored. The stewed beef is simmered with spices for 3–4 hours until tender but not tough, perfect for enjoyable chewing. The broth is rich and well-balanced, making the Good View Boat Noodles not only affordable but also carefully crafted in every bowl.
The shop's signature dishes that customers must order again include dry yellow noodles with marinated pork meatballs, yellow noodles with spicy tom yum and marinated pork meatballs, small rice noodles with stewed beef meatballs, and small rice noodles with fresh beef meatballs.
