The Hidden Boat Noodle Shop, located in Nong Nae Subdistrict, Phanom Sarakham District, Chachoengsao Province, has converted a private home space into a popular refueling spot for local cyclists in Phanom Sarakham.
This small noodle shop has become a popular dining spot for local residents, government officials, athletes, and cycling clubs, all of whom have collectively embraced the restaurant. “Hidden Boat Noodle Shop” serves as a check-in point and a place to rest and recharge with food after completing exercise routines.
Ms. Rattanaporn Tanheng, the owner, revealed that the Hidden Boat Noodle Shop originally operated and built its reputation for about three years but had to temporarily close. She then decided to restart the business by converting her own home space into a storefront to welcome customers.
The origin of the shop’s name “Hidden Corner” comes from its original physical characteristic as a small shop located deep within an alley. The shop’s highlight is its rich broth, fragrant with spices, which attracts both returning and new customers who stop by to taste it after seeing the sign.
Beyond the signature boat noodles available with both thin white rice noodles and yellow egg noodles, the shop has expanded its menu to offer more variety to customers. These include Western dishes such as steak and spaghetti, which are especially popular among cyclists, as well as popular made-to-order dishes like fried rice and spicy basil stir-fry.
Currently, the shop is managed by two family members who prepare each dish individually. During busy times when many customers arrive simultaneously, there might be a wait for food. However, the shop guarantees that every dish is crafted with care and meticulous attention at every step.
Hidden Boat Noodle Shop is open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
