Matcha lovers must not miss this! On Tea Tokyo, a new tea beverage brand from On the Table, has opened its first branch at Central Rama 9, featuring a concept of delicious, easy-to-drink flavors at affordable prices, with pure matcha starting at 65 baht.
After operating the On the Table Tokyo Café restaurant brand for over 15 years, in 2026 ZEN Group officially launched a new beverage sub-brand called “On Tea Tokyo” to cater to the lifestyle of modern consumers who value convenience, focusing on takeaway and delivery, reinforcing the "Everyday Zen" concept that aims to bring happiness every day.
Jomkwan Chirathivat, Chief Operating Officer of ZEN Corporation Public Company Limited's restaurant business group, told Thairath Online lifestyle team that this brand extension draws on their expertise in beverages and customer behavior understanding from the main brand to develop and expand. They launched the first branch at On the Table, Plaza Zone, 6th Floor, Central Plaza Rama 9, achieving sales of over 500 cups on the first day.
The green tea matcha market in Thailand is growing rapidly, but On Tea Tokyo differentiates itself by offering tea that is “easy to drink, can be enjoyed often, without ceremony.” The flavor is smooth and not bitter or harsh, making it accessible. This expands their portfolio to attract young consumers and Gen Z who like to try new things, while maintaining their existing customer base of working adults and families.
Regarding affordability, it perfectly suits today’s economic climate. The drink prices are friendly and very accessible, categorized by tea base types as follows.
Customers can choose their preferred drinking style: Clear for a refreshing taste; Latte (with milk) for added creaminess at an extra 10 baht; topped with thick, creamy Cloud foam for an additional 20 baht; or mix in refreshing Japanese-style Yuzu for just 20 baht more. Sweetness levels are adjustable across five settings (0% to 100%).
If you’re unsure what to pick, On Tea Tokyo recommends two signature Cloud drinks you shouldn’t miss.
A rich Japanese-style matcha latte topped with pink strawberry-flavored (Ichigo) foam cream and dried strawberry pieces, offering a sweet and tangy taste that perfectly balances the fragrant, creamy matcha. It’s also very photogenic.
An unexpected pairing of rich Thai tea latte topped with soft brown hojicha foam cream and crunchy crumble, delivering an aromatic blend of roasted Thai tea mixed with a touch of Japanese flair.
In 2026, ZEN Group plans to expand On Tea Tokyo with 5 physical stores and over 15 cloud kitchen locations focusing on delivery services, followed by steadily opening at least 10 new physical branches annually in the future.
