Must-Try for Tea Lovers! CHAGEE Launches New Apple English Breakfast Flavor Featuring Cold-Pressed Fuji Apple

CHAGEE Thailand partners with Tate, the British art museum, to launch the new Apple English Breakfast Tea featuring a blend of five teas combined with cold-pressed Fuji apple, starting at 100 baht, available now.

CHAGEE Thailand teams up with "Tate," the UK cultural institution and art museum, to launch the new Apple English Breakfast Tea along with packaging and a limited-edition product collection inspired by three classic paintings from the museum.

Cultural Context: The Journey of Tea and Apples

Historically, tea and apples are two symbols that have traveled across cultures for centuries. Tea drinking originated in China thousands of years ago before spreading throughout East Asia and becoming part of the British breakfast tradition. Apples have been cultivated in both Europe and Asia and often appear in Western art history. This new menu merges these two cultures to suit the lifestyle of the new generation.

Cross-continental Tea Recipe and Cold-Press Extraction Process

The base of this drink is a carefully selected blend of five tea varieties, including:

  • Assam tea from India: offers a strong, mellow, and robust flavor.
  • Lapsang Souchong from Fujian Province: provides a distinctive smoky aroma from pine wood smoking.
  • Yunnan Golden Pekoe: adds a soft, velvety smoothness.
  • Four Seasons Spring tea from Taiwan: balances with floral notes.
  • Highland Qilan tea from Fujian Province: enhances flavor with an orchid fragrance.

For the fruit flavor, CHAGEE uses Red Fuji apples from Shandong Province, China, cold-pressed from fresh whole fruit including peel and flesh, without adding water, sugar, or preservatives. The tea leaves absorb the apple juice through a low-temperature aging extraction process, then are vacuum-dried to preserve aroma and taste.

Bringing World-Class Art to Packaging and Limited-Edition Products

The limited-edition packaging design, including cups and insulated bags, draws inspiration from three classic artworks from Tate’s collection:

  • Henri Fantin-Latour, A Plate of Apples, 1861 © Tate
  • Paul Cézanne, Still Life with Water Jug, c.1892–3 © Tate
  • Mark Gertler, The Basket of Fruit, 1925 © Tate

Rosie Blackmore, Licensing & Merchandise Director at Tate Enterprises, explained that this collaboration helps extend access to art from the gallery into people’s daily lives through a unique beverage experience. Additionally, CHAGEE supports Tate’s conservation efforts for paper and photographs to help fund the preservation of the museum’s national art collection.

The special Apple Edition collection includes apple-shaped luggage tags, scarves, umbrellas, wraps, and picnic mats featuring artwork motifs. These items are sold only as bundled sets paired with drinks and are not available separately.
