Fried Chicken with Jaew Sauce for 129 Baht by Bang Pakong River at Forliva Cafe in Chachoengsao

Most riverside cafes primarily offer atmosphere and coffee. Customers stop by to take photos, enjoy the breeze, and then leave. Food is usually a bonus rather than the main attraction here.

But at "Forliva Cafe" located by the Bang Pakong River on Maruphong Road, Na Mueang Subdistrict, Mueang Chachoengsao District, the owner intends for the food to be another reason people visit.

Ms. Jaruwan Bamrungkit, 36, the owner, said that although the cafe is known for its coffee and drinks, she intentionally added single-dish meals to cater to customers who want a proper meal while enjoying the riverside atmosphere.

The recommended dish is fried chicken with jaew sauce, using large chicken thighs carefully selected to be similar in size, marinated with the cafe’s special recipe, then fried until golden and crispy. It offers a crispy outside and tender inside, paired with a homemade jaew sauce that is tangy, sweet, spicy, and well-balanced, all priced at 129 baht.

Besides the signature dish, the cafe offers a variety of other meals, including pork curry rice, saba fish rice, salmon rice, salads, as well as coffee, drinks, and bingsu. It caters to both cafe lovers and food enthusiasts in a vintage 1990s youthful style setting.

The cafe is open daily from 08:30 to 18:00. For those driving through Chachoengsao looking for a place to enjoy the riverside breeze and have a satisfying meal, this place offers both in one.
