When it comes to street food that’s currently viral and heavily talked about on social media, one must mention“Thief-Style Noodles”This mobile noodle stall is located under the M6 motorway bridge (along Mittraphap Road at km 88, inbound side to Nakhon Ratchasima province). It attracts customers from various professions who line up daily to savor its delicious dishes, selling out completely within just four hours of opening.
Tawan Sroi Sungnoen, a 41-year-old vendor, shared that he has been driving around to sell street-style noodles since the area was still undeveloped. His initial customers were mainly truck drivers and modified car groups who regularly stopped by. Due to the shop’s setup and his rugged appearance, regular customers nicknamed the stall“Thief-Style Noodles”which became the catchy shop name until today. The stall gained explosive popularity after influencers filmed review clips, drawing customers from all directions following its fame.
The secret kitchen recipe, passed down from his parents who taught him since childhood, guarantees a rich, authentic taste that has been handed down through generations.
The signature dish is a giant bowl of chicken noodles, generously packed with ingredients like chicken blood, chicken joints, and chicken bones, all overflowing in a satisfying bowl, priced affordably at only 70 baht.
The stall opens at 10:00 a.m., but due to high demand, it usually sells out by 2:00 p.m., generating an average daily income of 9,000 to 10,000 baht before expenses.
An interesting feature is that although it’s a roadside stall, Tawan emphasizes cleanliness above all. He cleans the area before and after selling each day, focusing not just on making money. Additionally, he sets up the stall a safe distance from the road for the safety of customers and drivers. His wife helps by closely serving water to customers.
For those wanting to follow in their footsteps, the stall may be closed more often than usual lately, as Tawan is dividing his time to work on buildinga "permanent shop"to better accommodate customers and provide more convenience.
The new shop location is set to open soon.
It will be located on the parallel route inbound to Korat, just past the PT gas station at Lat Bua Khao (around Ban Non Thong, Lat Bua Khao subdistrict, Sikhiu district, Nakhon Ratchasima). Anyone driving that way can prepare to stop by and experience the legendary deliciousness of Thief-Style Noodles.
