Michelin Guide 2027 Announces 151 Bib Gourmand Restaurants with 26 New Entrants, Doubling Last Year’s Number

The Michelin Guide 2027 is special as it marks the 10th anniversary edition. Before the Michelin Stars are announced, the Bib Gourmand restaurants were revealed, featuring 26 new restaurants across 10 regions.

Each year when the Michelin Guide results are announced, most attention usually focuses on which restaurants receive one, two, or even three stars. However, the places that the general public can realistically visit on weekdays or weekends fall under the Bib Gourmand category. This year’s Bib Gourmand announcement came exactly one week before the Michelin Stars reveal.

Michelin Guide Thailand revealed the 2027 Bib Gourmand awardees in the 10th anniversary edition, totaling 151 restaurants. Of these, 26 are newcomers, doubling last year’s 13 new entries. The Michelin Star awards ceremony will follow on Tuesday, 10 November 2026 GMT+7.

The 151 restaurants include 49 in Bangkok and surrounding areas; 28 in the Northeast region (10 in Khon Kaen, 9 in Nakhon Ratchasima, 5 in Ubon Ratchathani, and 4 in Udon Thani); 20 in Chiang Mai; 20 in Phuket; 9 in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya; 9 in Phang Nga; 8 in Surat Thani; 6 in Chonburi; and 2 in Koh Samui.

Gwendal Poullenec, Global Director of the Michelin Guide, said this year’s selection uncovered a variety of qualifying restaurants nationwide, including long-standing family-run businesses, roadside or street food spots reflecting local identities, and simple-style eateries that clearly express the chef’s personality.
