Mark Your Calendar: One Bangkok Embraces Art, City Sounds, and Futuristic Architecture at Bangkok Design Week 2026

Reviving the city's pulse, One Bangkok opens its space to welcome Bangkok Design Week 2026, inviting everyone to enjoy art, listen to the city's sounds, and look toward the future.

As the cold breeze fades, the creative spirit of Bangkok is ready to come alive again with the Bangkok Design Week 2026 (BKKDW2026) festival.

This year, the global lifestyle hub One Bangkok is joining the movement to energize the city, aiming to build a strong creative ecosystem, enhance quality of life, and inspire all city dwellers.

From 29 January to 8 February 2026, One Bangkok will transform its central urban space into a large canvas, showcasing three carefully curated highlight events covering sound, art, and architecture, inviting everyone to co-create Bangkok’s future.

Listen to the heartbeat of Bangkok through Open Airwaves.

The first event invites you to open your ears and hearts as One Bangkok Park becomes a pop-up sound recording studio for Open Airwaves: A Sonic Portrait of Bangkok. This collaboration between One Bangkok and Bangkok Community Radio (BCR) aims to create a "living archive."

Imagine recording conversations, lifestyles, and thoughts of diverse people shaping the city, all collected to reflect Bangkok’s identity in ways you may never have heard before. On weekends, this space will also fill with live music performances by renowned DJs, equipped with professional gear from Alphatheta, letting you relax amid a great atmosphere in the city center.

Experience the aesthetic of sustainability through cross-cultural design.

Art and craft lovers should not miss the international design exhibition at The Storeys Gallery, showcasing works born from collaboration between Thailand’s Silpakorn University and Taiwan’s National Kaohsiung University of Science and Technology (NKUST).

Under the concept Green Craft × Life Aesthetics × Local Culture, this exhibition goes beyond beauty, encouraging us to question and explore the integration of lifestyle, craftsmanship, and sustainability. It offers a cultural exchange expressed through tangible, inspiring works.

See the future through the eyes of the new generation at the global architects’ forum.

Ending with knowledge and future visions is the Young Architect Conference (YAC 2025–2026), a showcase for over 121 emerging architects presenting exhibitions and architectural talks. This major project unites top institutions including Thailand’s KMUTT and Bangkok University, Japan’s Kyoto Institute of Technology, and Germany’s TH Köln.

Those interested in the future of cities and housing should mark Saturday, 31 January 2026, for a special seminar on the first floor of One Bangkok Forum, where fresh ideas reveal how the younger generation views and plans to shape our world.

This Bangkok Design Week 2026 at One Bangkok is more than an art exhibition; it’s an invitation to be part of the city’s rhythm—listen, watch, and think together to create the Bangkok we want to see.
