Chilli Fest 2026 Brings Back Top Chefs with Fiery Heat and a Brutal 2.2 Million Scoville Chili-Eating Contest

Anyone confident in their spicy food skills must not miss Chilli Fest 2026, the hottest food festival of the year set to ignite Bangkok. Mark your calendar for Saturday, 28 March 2026 at Urban Oasis (Level L), Kimpton Maa-Lai Bangkok, for a bold and flavorful experience.

This event offers more than just heat—it's a grand gathering of spice lovers elevating the chili into masterpiece dishes crafted by top chefs from Bangkok’s leading restaurants, featuring exciting activities and standout spicy dishes from elite culinary talents such as: Chef Ton (Le Du & Nusara) who will serve authentic Thai heat with his "Green Curry Chicken and Beef," using freshly pounded bold curry paste balanced by his special "Pan Sip" dumplings. Chef Narayan will present modern Punjabi street food including fiery Papri Chaat and aromatic Butter Chicken Rolls infused with fragrant spices.

Mexican flavors with a punch come from Chefs Gabi & Diego, bringing cherished family recipes (Abuelita) featuring "Aguachile with Black Squid" and intensely spicy grilled beef tacos, paired with Southern Thai cuisine from Chef Don, a cheeky fictional chef character who will challenge your spice tolerance with "Kua Kling Minced Beef" and crab curry rice noodles so hot they’ll have you begging for mercy.

Korean cuisine also shines with fusion dishes by Chef Steve (I-Sang), offering boldly flavored Bulldak Bibim noodles and Thai-style chili fried chicken that promise more heat than ever before, alongside international Burmese dishes by Chef Honey Rae, who opens the door to Japanese-influenced Burmese cuisine with "Mala Peanut Yakitori" and tofu topped with garlic chili oil. The festival also features many other delicious highlights from famous eateries, including modern Chinese dumplings, chorizo lasagna, spicy Spanish tapas, and family-style Pad Thai topped generously with crispy pork cracklings.

Not to be missed, the highlight everyone awaits: the Chilli Eating Competition, searching for the ultimate iron-tongued champion. Contestants will face escalating chili heat reaching a peak of 2,200,000 Scoville units. Spice enthusiasts eager to test their limits can register until 13 March 2026.

Beyond food, the event is packed with lifestyle activities such as the Hot Sauce Market featuring top brands like That Daeng Sauce, Firepower Hot Sauces, and Siamaya Chocolate. There’s even free chili-themed tattoos by Inspiration Ink Tattoo Bangkok for those wanting to declare their spicy pride on their skin. The day wraps up with an energetic party featuring a DJ, live music, and thrilling fire dancing shows.

Tickets include an EARLY BIRD option at 250 baht (including one free drink) and a VALUE PACK at 800 baht with 1,000 baht food credit. Part of the event’s proceeds will be donated to the Bangkok Community Help Foundation to support underprivileged communities.
