They recently announced the launch of the revamped "Amazing Thailand" application, now fully positioned as a "Travel Super App" that offers travelers authentic local perspectives to truly discover unique Thai experiences.
This initiative is no small feat, as TAT has joined forces with global giant Mastercard to incorporate smart AI technology as a "personal travel companion" that plans trips, recommends must-visit spots, and delivers comprehensive exclusive benefits tailored to meet the needs of digital-era travelers, both Thai and international.
Kittipong Prapatthong, Deputy Governor for Digital, Research and Development at TAT, revealed, “Thailand’s tourism direction for 2026 focuses on high-quality travel, targeting 36.7 million international tourists, 210 million domestic trips, and total revenue surpassing 3 trillion baht. To achieve this, TAT promotes the "Amazing 5 Economy" concept (Subculture, Night, Circular, Platform, and Life Economy), and this new Amazing Thailand app plays a key role in the Platform Economy, helping distribute income to communities and SMEs nationwide.”
