Forget the old ways—TAT recently launched the redesigned "Amazing Thailand" app, transforming it into a full-fledged "Travel Super App" that lets tourists experience Thailand like locals and discover authentic experiences.
This initiative is serious business, as TAT has partnered with the global giant Mastercard to integrate smart AI technology as a "personal travel companion" that organizes trips, recommends top spots, and offers comprehensive privileges tailored to meet the needs of both Thai and international digital-era travelers.
Kittipong Prapatthong, Deputy Governor for Digital, Research, and Development at TAT, revealed, “Thailand’s tourism direction for 2026 aims for high-quality tourism, targeting 36.7 million foreign visitors, 210 million domestic trips, and total revenue exceeding 3 trillion baht. To reach these goals, TAT is pushing the "Amazing 5 Economy" concept (Subculture, Night, Circular, Platform, and Life Economy). The new Amazing Thailand app is a key player in the Platform Economy, helping to distribute income to communities and SMEs nationwide.”
