The Craft Beer Association announced the 2nd TIBA 2026 event under the theme Beyond the Boundaries, opening registration for entries in 9 categories covering over 100 styles, judged by international BJCP standards to elevate the Thai beer industry to a global level.

The Craft Beer Association officially announced the Thailand International Beer Awards 2026 (TIBA 2026), continuing its success in the second year under the concept “Beyond the Boundaries.” It offers producers and importers the opportunity to submit entries for quality competition under international standards, aiming to strengthen the image of Thailand’s craft beer industry on the world stage.

TIBA 2026 seeks the finest beers meeting international standards, with registration open until 25 February.

The Craft Beer Association is advancing Thailand’s beverage industry by organizing the 2nd Thailand International Beer Awards 2026 (TIBA 2026), the country’s largest international beer competition. This year’s theme, “Beyond the Boundaries – Surpassing Limits Towards International Standards,” aims to raise the quality and image of Thai craft beer for global recognition, following strong positive feedback from producers and importers worldwide last year.

Introducing 9 categories with over 100 beer styles, judged rigorously according to BJCP criteria.

A special feature of TIBA 2026 is its expanded scope to cover a diverse range of flavors, using the Beer Judge Certification Program (BJCP) as the judging standard, which is internationally recognized. Expert judges will evaluate entries systematically to highlight each beer’s strengths and uniqueness, providing producers with actionable feedback for further development.

This year’s competition divides beers into 9 main groups encompassing over 100 styles as follows:

  • Group 1: Lagers
  • Group 2: Wheat & Belgian
  • Group 3: Traditional and Malty
  • Group 4: Pale Ale & IPA
  • Group 5: Hazy / New England IPA
  • Group 6: Stout
  • Group 7: Sour, Fruit & Spiced Beers
  • Group 8: Strong Beers, Experimental, Historical & Special Ingredient
  • Group 9: Thai Rice

Competition timeline and registration conditions announced.

Interested participants, whether Thai breweries or foreign importers, must hold a valid license for production or import and ensure product quality suitable for consumption. If the entrant is not the brand owner, they must take sole responsibility for any ownership disputes. Key dates are as follows:

More than just awards: Creating value for the industry.

The Craft Beer Association emphasized that TIBA is not only a competition but a key mechanism to build networks among entrepreneurs and promote accurate consumer understanding. Awards serve as quality certification that brands can use in marketing, enhance credibility with partners, and create long-term brand value.
