This year’s 54th National Book Fair and 24th Bangkok International Book Fair (54th National Book Fair & 24th Bangkok International Book Fair 2026) come with the powerful concept“Read The Legend: Opening a New Chapter in Reading.”
Featuring leading publishers nationwide bringing a huge selection of books to choose from, the fair runs Thursday, 26 March to Monday, 6 April 2026, from 10:00 to 21:00 at Halls 5 - 8, LG Floor, Queen Sirikit National Convention Center. Admission is free.
The book fair offers more than just book buying; it is an immersion in art and legend. If you think the fair is only about browsing booths, this year you will want to allow extra time to explore as the event spans seven zones—from general fiction, teen comics, children's books to the Wonder Y zone—interspersed with 14 interesting check-in points and exhibitions.
A must-see highlight is the Read the Legend exhibition.“Forbidden (Forgotten) Books”which takes visitors through the history of pages once banned but now valued enough to transcend time. For autograph collectors, prepare to spend time at the Meet the Legends stage to meet and engage closely with your favorite legendary authors.
For fans of the Boys’ Love genre, there is the Y Book Journey exhibition delving into the phenomenon of Y novels from their beginnings in Thailand to becoming an internationally recognized Soft Power. Additionally, the Legend Trail Bingo activity lets you rally through intellectual treasures for special rewards to take home.
Getting to the book fair at the centeris very easy and convenient, especially by public transport, which we highly recommend to avoid traffic jams during holidays.Traveling by MRT (Blue Line)
is the fastest and most convenient way, ideal for those carrying books. Take the Blue Line MRT to “Queen Sirikit National Convention Center Station.”Then follow the signs to“Exit 3.”After tapping your card to exit, you will find a spacious underground connecting tunnel. Follow this passage, which leads directly into the LG Floor of the convention center—the same floor hosting Halls 5-8—so there’s no need to walk in the sun or cross streets. For those driving
their own cars, if you plan to buy many books and choose to drive, the center has ample parking with space for up to 3,000 cars. Access is available from either Ratchadaphisek Road or Rama IV Road, but we recommend allowing extra travel time or arriving early, as parking tends to be very crowded in the afternoons and on weekends.Regardingbus services (BMTA),
for those preferring a relaxed trip by bus, you can take bus routes 136 and 185, which pass in front of the center on the Ratchadaphisek Road side. Get off at the stop in front of the center and enter through the main gate. Importantly, don’t forget to bring a large cloth bag or rolling suitcase because the discounts offered by publishers this year are so attractive that you might end up buying more books than planned.Information: Thai Book Fair
