Songkran 2026: Holy Water Ceremony for 5 Buddha Relics at Wat Pathumwanaram in Central Bangkok

Wat Pathumwanaram Ratchaworawihan invites Buddhists to participate in the exhibition.“Tassananuttriya”Pay homage to and pour water over five Buddha relics and arhant relics for blessings during the Thai New Year from 13 to 15 April.

Wat Pathumwanaram Ratchaworawihan is hosting the "Tassananuttriya" exhibition, bringing together five Buddha relics at the heart of Bangkok and opening to the public for holy water pouring for good fortune during Songkran 2026.

Unveiling the sacredness of five Buddha relics.

This rare opportunity gathers the most precious Buddha relics of the First Buddha, Kakusandha, Konagamana, Kassapa, and Gautama Buddhas in one place. The event also features arhant relics from the Buddha’s era, Emperor Ashoka’s period, and relics of the revered masters from the Ajahn Mun lineage for close veneration.

Locations for holy water pouring to welcome Songkran 2026.

Buddhists wishing to enhance their blessings for Songkran can participate as follows:

  • Exhibition for paying homage: 6 – 30 April 2026.
  • Holy water pouring ceremony for Buddha relics: 13 – 15 April 2026 only.
  • Location: Burapacharn Pavilion, Wat Pathumwanaram Ratchaworawihan, Bangkok.
  • Time: 08:00 – 18:00.

Join in supporting the construction.“Buddha Relics Hall”

In addition to merit-making and worship, the temple invites devotees to contribute to the construction of the“Buddha Relics Hall”and a permanent knowledge exhibition at the 84th Birthday Anniversary Chalermprakiat Pavilion, to serve as a learning center and faith hub long-term.
