Vibrant Atmosphere at 100-Year Lumphini Park Celebration Invites Families and Couples to Enjoy Stunning Light Displays and Runs

The event was filled with smiles from visitors who came to admire the dazzling lights, while runners and evening exercisers paused to take photos and joyfully soak in the beauty.

Also spotted was the charming governor, Chadchart Sittipunt, who joined the stroll, took photos, and greeted the public warmly and informally.

Dazzling lights and spectacular photo spots

Lumphini Park was transformed into a brilliant display of decorative lights. The highlight that captivated everyone was the Multimedia Mapping show on the clock tower, featuring"Vanasatharn: The Royal Aspirations of King Rama VI"which projected a light and sound story called “The Inscription of Time.” The show ran every hour starting from 19:00 onwards.

Additionally, the surrounding area was beautifully decorated with features such as a waving field of golden LED lights resembling barley crops, glowing bird and lotus flower light sculptures above the water, and a musical fountain dance between Gates 2 and 3 that changed colors with the music, delighting passersby.


Beyond the light displays and photo ops, Bangkok Metropolitan Administration also offered musical performances for a relaxing experience. Full orchestral shows featured three national-level orchestras: RBSO, NSO, and BMO, along with the Bangkok Metropolitan Orchestra. For a youthful vibe, young street performers delivered live music at the Phirom Phakdi Pavilion.

After walking enough to work up an appetite, visitors could head to the “Old Sri Thai Food Center,” marked by a distinctive entrance arch welcoming food lovers with the theme“Delicious specialties from all 50 districts.”The BMA curated popular dishes from across Bangkok in one place, allowing guests to enjoy tasty meals accompanied by chill live music.
