The CEO of Take-Two Interactive, the parent company of Rockstar Games, the creator of GTA 6, has confirmed that no real-world products will be included in the game to preserve its tradition as a satire of American society.
Strauss Zelnick, Chief Executive Officer of Take-Two Interactive, clearly stated that Grand Theft Auto 6 (GTA 6) will not feature any real-world product brands, especially in the form of hidden advertisements.
Zelnick explained that GTA has always been designed to satirize American society and culture. Therefore, the brands appearing in the game must be fictional to remain consistent with the long-established identity of the game's world.
In the GTA universe, real brands have often been parodied in the style of GTA, such as the beverage Sprunk, derived from Sprite, or the fast-food chain Up-n-Atom Burger, inspired by In-N-Out Burger. Similarly, the in-game iPhone in GTA V is called iFruit.
GTA 6 is expected to become the biggest game of all time upon release, with fans worldwide eagerly awaiting its launch scheduled for 19 November 2026 on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and Series S platforms.
Fans globally also hope that a third game trailer will be released before the game’s launch. The first trailer, released in 2023, has garnered over 277 million views on YouTube, while the second trailer, released on 6 May last year, has accumulated 158 million views.
