Bangkok Launches Mobile Units Offering Free Sterilization, Microchipping, and Rabies Vaccination from 12-14 June 2026

The Health Department of Bangkok Metropolitan Administration organizes mobile veterinary units to provide services including sterilization, microchip implantation, and rabies vaccination for pets (dogs and cats). These services are provided free of charge at Don Mueang Metropolitan Police Station. The event runs from 12 to 14 June 2026. This is held to honor Her Majesty the Queen on the occasion of her auspicious 4th cycle birthday anniversary on 3 June 2026, as part of activities to improve the quality of life for residents along the Prem Prachakorn Canal.

Friday, 12 June 2026

09:00 - 12:00 hrs.

  • Sterilization for 50 animals (advance booking required) available through the Environment and Sanitation Division, Don Mueang District Office, Tel. 082-6802196 or 02-5659424 ext. 5341.

13:00 - 15:00 hrs.

  • Microchip implantation for 100 animals.
  • Vaccination for 200 animals (on-site registration).

Saturday, 13 June 2026

08:00 - 12:00 hrs.

  • Sterilization for 50 animals (advance booking required) through the Environment and Sanitation Division, Don Mueang District Office, Tel. 082-6802196 or 02-5659424 ext. 5341.
  • Microchip implantation for 100 animals.
  • Vaccination for 200 animals (on-site registration).

Sunday, 14 June 2026

09:00 - 17:00 hrs.

  • Sterilization for 100 animals (advance booking required) via the Environment and Sanitation Division, Don Mueang District Office, Tel. 082-6802196 or 02-5659424 ext. 5341.
  • Microchip implantation for 200 animals.
  • Vaccination for 300 animals (on-site registration).

Conditions for receiving free sterilization and rabies vaccination services.

For animals brought for sterilization surgery (dogs and cats):

  • They must be at least 6 months old.
  • Water and food should be withheld for at least 8–10 hours before the service (to prevent aspiration or airway obstruction during anesthesia).
  • Female dogs and cats must not be pregnant or nursing.

For animals brought for rabies vaccination:

  • Dogs and cats must be at least 3 months old.
