According to the latest assessment by the Meteorological Department, the center of Typhoon Bavi will not enter Thailand but will pass north of Taiwan before making landfall on the eastern coast of Fujian Province, China, around 11-12 July 2026.
Although Typhoon Bavi will not blow directly into Thailand, it will indirectly cause the monsoon over Thailand to strengthen, bringing heavy rain to many areas and rough seas. From 10-14 July 2026, many parts of Thailand will experience heavy to very heavy rain, and seas influenced by the monsoon will have waves approximately 2-4 meters high.
