
Thairath opens a platform for young talents to shine, inviting students to submit 3-5 minute short films for the project "Open Thai Screen: Driving Culture," competing for a 100,000 baht prize plus the chance to have their work broadcast on Thairath TV Channel 32.
A significant opportunity for filmmakers to communicate Thai charm to the world, inviting university students passionate about storytelling to submit 3-5 minute short films under the "Thairath Culture Film Forum & Festival: Open Thai Screen Driving Culture" project.
This contest invites participants to express their perspectives, creativity, and the charm of Thailand through five dimensions, choosing at least one or combining several, including:
Entrants must be university students currently studying at any institution, faculty, major, or year, submitting individually or in teams of 2-5.
Judging is based on five main components totaling 100 points: interpretation and creativity (30 points), screenplay and storytelling (25 points), visual, audio, and production techniques (25 points), cultural value presentation (10 points), plus an additional 10 points for works featuring the food dimension or more than one dimension. Previously submitted works are allowed if they have never won a prize.

The award ceremony will take place at the S.O.S Siam On Screen event on Friday, 11 September 2026 at Samyan Mitrtown.
