
The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration is organizing an activity called "Scheduled Large Waste Disposal and Collection" offering free collection of discarded items, furniture, and unused electrical appliances at designated points on Saturday, 19 September 2026, and Sunday, 20 September 2026, across 30 districts to help reduce waterway blockages and promote waste sorting.
Residents in the specified areas can place their large waste at designated pickup points in front of their homes before 08:30, with officials and district vehicles collecting between 09:00 and 12:00 on the specified dates.
, Bangkok Metropolitan Administration will dispatch staff to collect large waste in target areas on these dates, dividing operations into two days according to district office locations as follows.
It is recommended that residents who wish to dispose of large waste properly sort items before disposal, such as furniture, electrical appliances, and sports equipment larger than 1 meter, which should be cut into smaller pieces. Heavy items should be separated, and smaller pieces should be bundled neatly. Residents should prepare their ID cards to show officials (utility bills for electricity or water can be used as an alternative).

Additionally, residents with large amounts of waste located far from the weekly pickup points can contact the Cleaning and Public Parks Department of any district office for service, subject to fees as per government regulations. Warning: Improper disposal obstructs Bangkok’s drainage system and is punishable under the Cleanliness Act with a fine of 2,000 baht,for dumping outside containers or designated areas, the fine is 10,000 baht. Dumping into waterways is punishable under the Criminal Code Section 380.
