For those tired of swiping through dating apps only to chat or feeling nervous about one-on-one dates, Tinder has launched a new feature called "Events" that invites singles to engage in real-life group activities.

The system gathers a variety of activities within the app, ranging from food lovers meeting for barbecue parties, sports enthusiasts joining runs, movie screenings, to creative workshops, featuring events organized by Tinder and its partners.

Users can check in to events that interest them to naturally connect with others who share similar lifestyles, with an identity verification system ensuring confidence and safety throughout the event.

The "Events" feature is designed for ease of use and safety, following these steps:

• Choose the right event Users can browse activities they find interesting and tap “Interested.”
• Prepare to attend Purchase tickets to join the event.
• Safe check-in Upon arrival, users can "check in" via the Tinder app, undergoing photo verification to confirm their identity matches their profile.
• Browse profiles of attendees Users can view profiles of others who have marked interest in the event, allowing them to preview potential matches they may meet in person.
• Earn attendance badge After the event, users receive an “Attended” badge on their profile, serving as a connection point for conversations with others who attended or share similar interests.

Tinder reveals that Bangkok ranks second worldwide for the Events feature usage.

Thai Gen Z singles aged 18–24 are increasingly interested in building relationships through group activities rather than one-on-one dates, seeking to meet like-minded people and develop meaningful connections.

Since launching the Events feature in Thailand on 18 August 2026, over 25 events have taken place, covering sports like running clubs, golf, pickleball, Pilates; workshops such as ceramic painting; and recreational activities like board games, movie nights, ice baths, and concerts.

The variety of activities has made Bangkok the second highest city worldwide for daily event page views, especially for cold water immersion and breathing exercises, with over 11,000 views. Surveys show 92% of participants are satisfied, and 85% plan to attend again.

Tinder hosts a riverside barbecue party called "Moo-Ka-Ter," inviting singles to connect beyond the screen.

Meeting the needs of modern singles who want face-to-face interaction, Tinder launched the "Moo-Ka-Ter" barbecue party by the Chao Phraya River, offering a relaxed and safe environment for singles to socialize through shared activities.

The event runs from 25–27 September with two daily sessions at 17:00–19:00 and 19:30–21:30. Interested attendees can purchase tickets via Ticketmelon.

Additionally, participants who check in via the Tinder app will receive coupons for free special menu items. Those seeking new relationships can download the app and get ready to join the event.
