Bangkok Metropolitan Administration organizes an event "Scheduled Large Waste Disposal and Collection" This service collects broken items, furniture, and unused electrical appliances at designated points free of charge on Saturday, 3 October 2026, and Sunday, 4 October 2026, covering 15 districts to help reduce waste blocking waterways and promote waste separation.
Residents in the specified areas can place large waste at their home's designated waste spot before 8:30 a.m. Officials and district vehicles will collect the waste between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m. on those days.

It is recommended that residents wanting to dispose of large waste properly separate items before disposal, such as furniture, electrical appliances, or sports equipment over 1 meter in size, cutting them into smaller pieces if heavy; separate parts or bundle smaller pieces neatly. Prepare ID cards to show officials (water or electricity bills can be used as alternatives).

Warning: Improper dumping obstructs Bangkok's drainage system and violates the Cleanliness Act, punishable by a 2,000 baht fineifwaste is dumped outside containers or designated points. Dumping into waterways violates the Criminal Code Section 380, punishable by a fine up to 10,000 baht.
