
Thairath conducted a poll on Thai people's AI usage behaviors between 15-21 July 2025 GMT+7 through its affiliated websites, gathering responses from 3,177 participants. The survey found that nearly half have not used AI yet, but among the rest, AI usage is increasing, particularly for work and other assistance.
Although nearly half (45.72%) said they do not use AI, the remainder reported increasing AI use to assist in various aspects of life. This reflects adaptation to leverage AI benefits, including:

Currently, many AI platforms are available, from ChatGPT by OpenAI, which is widely known, to Gemini by Google, Microsoft Copilot, as well as other brands and AI developed internally by organizations for secure use. In this question, 40.34% said they use other platforms.
While Thai people are increasingly benefiting from AI, only 8.90% said they pay for AI services, with 91.10% using free services.
Further analysis showed that among those who pay for AI, 58.79% use it for work, and 61.81% are daily users.
Regarding platforms people pay for, ChatGPT leads with 49.25%, followed by Gemini at 21.11%, other platforms at 16.08%, Microsoft Copilot at 8.04%, and Claude AI at 5.53%.
