Samsung has big plans for the Galaxy S26 Series. It estimates sales of 35 million units, promoting Galaxy AI as the main marketing feature.
A report from Maeil Business News, a South Korean media outlet, revealed that Samsung has set its smartphone business sales target for 2026 at 240 million units. Within the flagship segment, the Galaxy S26 Series is projected to sell no less than 35 to 36 million units worldwide, exceeding the estimated figures forthe Galaxy S25 Series.
The main reason Samsung is confident is that the AI features accompanying the Galaxy S26 Series will act as a catalyst for consumer demand.
Currently, it is believed that the Galaxy S26 launch will no longer take place in January but has been postponed to 25 February 2026. The product lineup will include three models: the standard Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra. Notably, there will be no Galaxy S26 Pro or Galaxy S26 Edge models—these thinner variants have been removed from the lineup due to poor sales.
The Galaxy S26 Series is expected to feature the Exynos 2600 chipset. However, in key markets such as the United States, China, and Japan, it will use the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy. Samsung has confirmed that the performance will fully support AI applications. Final confirmed details are still awaited in an official announcement from Samsung.
