vivo has revealed details of its newest flagship smartphones to be launched in Thailand: the vivo X300 and vivo X300 Pro, with a focus on photography features.
At the vivo Blue Talk: Go Further Together event, media representatives were given hands-on experience with the vivo X300 Series, which includes two models: the vivo X300 and vivo X300 Pro.
The vivo X300 Series is a collaboration between vivo and ZEISS, encompassing imaging technology as well as ZEISS T Coating lens treatments and the new Super Blue Glass technology to reduce flare and reflections.
Key highlights of the launchfor vivo’s flagship smartphones this timeinclude the use of a 200-megapixel camera sensor as a major selling point, with the vivo X300 featuring a 200MP main camera and the vivo X300 Pro equipped with a 200MP telephoto camera.
The vivo X300 Pro incorporates a 1/1.4-inch Samsung HPB sensor as its 200MP telephoto camera, developed in partnership with ZEISS. This is among the first uses of such a high-resolution sensor in a telephoto lens. The APO (Apochromatic) grade lens helps reduce color aberrations when zooming. The main camera on the vivo X300 Pro uses a 1/1.28-inch Sony LYT-828 sensor with 50MP resolution and features gimbal-level stabilization (CIPA 5.5).
Meanwhile, the standard vivo X300 model uses a 200MP HPB 1/1.4-inch sensor as its main camera, with OIS stabilization (CIPA 4.5). Both models also include a 50MP ultra-wide camera and a 50MP front camera with autofocus for sharp selfies.
On the processing side, vivo introduced the Dual Pro Imaging Chips architecture, which combines the VS1 chip working alongside the V3+ chip and the main MediaTek 9500 chipset, aiming to enhance image processing performance, reduce power consumption, and manage heat during video recording.
Beyond camera hardware, vivo also launched the vivo ZEISS 2.35x Telephoto Extender Kit, a physical lens attachment that optically increases zoom, ideal for capturing distant subjects such as concerts or sports events.
The software on the vivo X300 Series runs on OriginOS 6, featuring the Origin Smooth Engine and Memory Fusion technology. vivo stated this boosts app launch speed by 19%, improves frame rate stability by up to 63%, and supports keeping up to 47 apps active in memory simultaneously.
Finally, vivo noted that the X300 Series includes a One-Tap Transfer feature enabling seamless connection between vivo smartphones and Windows or Mac computers, as well as file transfers between vivo phones and iPhones via the EasyShare app, which must be installed on the iPhone beforehand.
The vivo X300 Series is expected to be available in Thailand by the end of November.
