Samsung to Launch Galaxy S26 This February, Sales Expected in March

Samsung has set February 25 as the launch date, featuring a Privacy Display, with actual sales expected to begin in March.

According to the latest report from MK, a South Korean media outlet, Samsung has scheduled the Galaxy Unpacked event to unveil the Galaxy S26 Series on 25 February 2026 in San Francisco, before launching globally in March.

The report also revealed that the Galaxy S26 will maintain the same price level asthe Galaxy S25.This is to maintain market share amid increasing competition, especially with Apple pricing the iPhone 17 very competitively.

Regarding hardware, the base Galaxy S26 will increase battery capacity to 4,300 mAh, up 300 mAh from the previous model, while the Galaxy S26+ will focus on camera improvements with a 3x zoom HDR mode for backlit zoomed photos.

The highlight is the Galaxy S26 Ultra, expected to feature an electronically controlled Privacy Display that prevents screen peeking by people nearby. Additionally, the Galaxy S26 Ultra will use the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset worldwide, while the Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26+ will continue to switch to the Exynos 2600 chipset in some markets, following the existing strategy.

Beyond the Galaxy S26 Series, there is important information about foldable phones launching in July 2026: the Galaxy Z Fold8 will be significantly lighter at just 200 grams, 15 grams lighter than before, and will upgrade its battery to 5,000 mAh. The Galaxy Z Flip8 will weigh only 150 grams, 38 grams lighter than its predecessor, reflecting Samsung’s efforts to overcome weight and battery capacity challenges in foldable devices.
