Review of vivo X300 Pro - A Professional-Grade Camera That Can Make Calls

When discussing today’s smartphone market, what is clearly evident is that innovation has started to stagnate, and people have begun focusing more on AI. However, one of the most outstanding smartphones must be theVivo X300 Pro

The Vivo X300 Pro is a smartphone from vivo that offers professional-level photography capabilities and can make calls—in other words, it is a professional camera that can make calls.

Design and display of the Vivo X300 Pro

In terms of appearance, the Vivo X300 Pro does not differ much from the previous Vivo X200 Pro, maintaining its collaboration with ZEISS to create the best photography results after the shutter is pressed, featuring spherical camera lenses.

The back of the device uses fingerprint-resistant material with a smooth finish. The frame is aluminum. The main buttons include the power button and volume controls on the right side, with a shortcut key on the left.

Additionally, the device is water- and dust-resistant, meeting IP68/IP69 standards, able to withstand water up to 1.5 meters deep for 30 minutes.

The device has a 6.78-inch screen with a 20:9 aspect ratio. It features a6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED display with 1 billion colors, a maximum refresh rate of 120Hz, PWM at 2160Hz, DC dimming, Dolby Vision support, and a peak brightness of4,500 nits.

Camera system of the Vivo X300 Pro

The Vivo X300 Pro has three cameras, similar to the Vivo X200 Pro, but with considerable internal changes.Quite a lot, in fact.

The main camera has a 50MP resolution, using the new Sony Lytia LYT-828 sensor, maintaining a 1/1.28-inch size, and the lens includes optical image stabilization.

The telephoto lens has changed from the previous Samsung Isocell HP9 sensor to what vivo calls the HPB, a 1/1.4-inch, 200MP telephoto camera developed in collaboration with ZEISS. This is one of the first uses of such a high-resolution sensor in a telephoto lens. The APO (Apochromatic) grade lens helps reduce color aberration during zoom.

The ultra-wide lens remains largely unchanged, still at 50MP resolution with the original Samsung JN1 sensor and autofocus lens.

Regarding the shutter, the Vivo X300 Pro does not have a dedicated shutter button, but the shortcut key on the left side can be configured for photography. If not desired, it can be set to other shortcuts such as toggling sound/vibration, flashlight, note-taking, AI captions, or quick access to frequently used apps. The shortcut can be activated by either pressing and holding the buttonor double-pressing it.

The Vivo X300 Pro’s camera quality is considered very good, performing well in both daytime and nighttime photography. It delivers good results both at long and close distances.Colors are excellent with clear detail.

The front camera has increased from 32MP in the Vivo X200 Pro to 50MP, adding autofocus for the first time, which greatly improves selfie clarity at various distances and enhances close-up facial shots compared to previous models.

OriginOS 6 interface available worldwide

The Vivo X300 Prorunson Android 16 with OriginOS 6 replacing the previous FuntouchOS interface.

The arrival of the Vivo X300 Pro has made usage smoother, with good response speed and effects that make using the phone more enjoyable.

Additionally, the update toOriginOS 6makes vivo one of the brands, following OPPO, to support cross-platform work between vivo devices and Apple products, including file transfers to Mac or iPad and drag-and-drop functionality, without even needing to log into a vivo account. Moreover, OriginOS 6 adds AI features such as enhanced language translation Circle to Search, which integrates with Google Gemini.

Summary

The Vivo X300 Pro can be considered a portable professional-grade camera phone. If you want the best mobile photography experience right now, this Vivo X300 Pro model is truly a top choice.

Meanwhile, the display performance and interface smoothness are excellent. The only drawback might be heat generation during heavy use.
