Xiaomi launches the Redmi Note 15 Series with a robust structure that can endure drops and shocks, offers IP69K water resistance, and features SiC batteries designed to last up to six years.
Xiaomi Thailand has officially announced the release of four smartphones in the Redmi Note 15 Series: Redmi Note 15 Pro+ 5G, Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G, Redmi Note 15 5G, and Redmi Note 15. This generation focuses on enhancing structural strength under the Redmi Titan campaign, alongside introducing silicon-carbon (SiC) battery technology for the first time in this series to boost energy density in a more compact design.
The top model, Redmi Note 15 Pro+ 5G, is equipped with a 6,500mAh silicon-carbon (SiC) battery supporting 100W HyperCharge fast charging and 22.5W reverse charging.
The SiC technology works with Xiaomi's power management system aiming to maintain battery health at no less than 80 percent after 1,600 charging cycles, roughly equivalent to six years. Meanwhile, the Redmi Note 15 5G stands out for its slim 7.35-millimeter profile while housing a 5,520mAh SiC battery, and the standard Redmi Note 15 model upgrades its battery capacity to 6,000mAh.
Regarding durability, Xiaomi stated that the Redmi Note 15 Pro and Redmi Note 15 Pro+ have received SGS Premium Performance certification through the Redmi Titan structure, which combines a high-strength main circuit board with a reinforced mid-frame and multi-layer shock-absorbing design. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2, capable of surviving drops from 2.5 meters. Notably, the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ features a high-strength fiberglass back cover that absorbs shocks without adding weight.
Additionally, both Redmi Note 15 Pro models elevate water and dust resistance to IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K standards, capable of withstanding high water pressure and heat, including immersion in 2 meters of water for up to 24 hours. The devices incorporate 17 internal water-sealing points.
For photography, the Redmi Note 15 Pro and Redmi Note 15 Pro+ use a 200-megapixel HPE sensor sized 1/1.4 inches, offering sensor-level lossless zoom at 2x and 4x, covering focal lengths equivalent to 23mm through 92mm within a single lens.
The standard Redmi Note 15 and Redmi Note 15 5G models use a 108-megapixel main sensor with 3x optical telephoto zoom.
Xiaomi has integrated an AI Creativity Assistant into the software to enhance high-resolution portrait photography.,There is also an AI Remove Reflection feature that eliminates reflections in images through HyperAI processing.
The Redmi Note 15 Pro+ 5G's performance is powered bythe Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset, featuring a cooling system called Xiaomi IceLoop that improves heat dissipation. Other models use Snapdragon and MediaTek chipsets depending on the version.Xiaomi has partnered with Google to incorporate Gemini and Circle to Search features. Furthermore, the Redmi Note 15 Pro and Redmi Note 15 Pro+ include Xiaomi Offline Communication, enabling long-distance voice communication over kilometers via special channels even in areas without cellular network coverage.
