Google announced that Gemini's monthly active users have reached 750 million, far surpassing competitor Meta but still below ChatGPT, which has a monthly user base of 810 million.
Google set a new record in the AI competition business by announcing that Gemini's monthly active users (MAUs) exceeded 750 million in the fourth quarter of 2025, marking a significant leap from the previous quarter's 650 million users.
This growth brings Gemini closer to ChatGPT, which has about 810 million monthly users, while leaving Meta AI behind with approximately 500 million monthly users.
Google CEO Sundar Pichai stated that the main factor driving Gemini's growing user base is the launch of Gemini 3, Google's most advanced large language model, which emphasizes deeper and more natural conversational responses.
Additionally, Google has adjusted its user acquisition strategy by launching a more affordable package, Google AI Plus, to attract users who want to access Gemini with premium features at a reasonable price.
Meanwhile, Google's search engine usage has hit record highs thanks to integrating AI technology that enhances information retrieval. Pichai confirmed the company will continue investing and innovating to maintain this momentum and aim for global leadership in the AI market.
