Samsung has released a new video showcasing the capabilities of the Galaxy S26 Ultra, highlighting a feature called Privacy Display that prevents others from peeking at the device screen.
Samsung uploaded a video titled "We don’t scroll and tell" on its official YouTube channel. The video demonstrates the Galaxy S26 Ultra’s Privacy Display feature. It shows a scene on a subway where people sit closely beside the user, trying to peek at the phone screen while the owner reads some content. Then, she activates the feature, causing the screen to appear black when viewed from the side, while maintaining normal sharpness for the user looking straight at it.
This technology is based on what is called Flex Magic Pixel, which controls pixel-level light emission on the OLED panel to narrow the viewing angle. Unlike traditional privacy screen protectors that darken the display all the time, users can toggle this feature on or off via the settings menu in the One UI 8.5 interface. Additionally, there are reports that Samsung has integrated AI to detect crowded environments and prompt users to enable the feature or automatically activate it when opening sensitive apps, such as banking or private messaging applications.
The Privacy Display feature is expected to be exclusive to the Galaxy S26 Ultra model.
The launch event for the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra is scheduled for 25 February, at 01:00 on 26 February GMT+7.
