Samsung Faces Criticism for Using AI-Generated Video to Promote Galaxy S26 Ultra Camera Instead of Real Footage

Behind the Nightography feature teaser, which included a note 'Generated by AI,' there has been significant criticism as many have questioned why real camera footage was not used.

After Samsung released a short video titled Brighten your after hours to advertise low-light video performance, the video contained a disclaimer stating the content was AI-generated, sparking heated debate.

Typically, promoting a smartphone camera’s capabilities, especially a flagship model, involves showcasing actual photos or videos taken with the device to demonstrate the hardware and software’s processing power. This video depicted filming in dark conditions and challenged viewers by asking, "Can your phone do that?"

However, choosing to use AI-generated content instead of real footage raised doubts about the true performance of the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra and whether it can deliver as advertised, even though clearly stating AI usage is a positive transparency measure.

Regarding specs, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to have a wider aperture than the Galaxy S25 Ultra, increasing from f/1.4 to f/1.7, which should allow the sensor to capture more light and reduce noise in photos.

At the Galaxy Unpacked 2026 event, three main products will be featured: the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra.
