Fixed Focus Digital revealed that Apple has started production testing as preparation for the official launch this September, with a possibility of introducing a new Deep Red color for the iPhone 18 Pro.
Apple is moving toward launching new products this September, with the iPhone 18 Pro having entered the production testing phase to verify production line readiness and prevent technical issues before full-scale manufacturing begins.
Information from Fixed Focus Digital indicates that in terms of materials and overall specifications, the iPhone 18 Pro currently shows little change compared to the iPhone 17 Pro.
However, the most interesting point this time concerns the device’s color. Bloomberg reports that Apple is considering Deep Red as the main color for the iPhone 18 Pro launch this year. If Apple adopts red as the primary color, the Cosmic Orange shade, which was the main color for the iPhone 17 Pro, might not be chosen due to the similarity in hues. Nonetheless, it's still possible that Cosmic Orange could be introduced later in the iPhone 18 Pro product cycle, similar to special editions like Product(RED) red.
Apple’s start of production testing indicates that most of the design and engineering work has been finalized. Going forward, Apple and its manufacturing partners will refine the device to ensure it is perfected and ready for wide release this September.
