Samsung has officially launched its new flagship smartphones for 2026: the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra.
At the Galaxy Unpacked 2026 event in San Francisco, Samsung unveiled this year’s three Galaxy S26 models: Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra.
This year, the Galaxy S26 Ultra’s design has been refined with more rounded edges for a better grip during daily use, moving away from the sharp edges of previous models. The device is also slimmer, measuring less than 8 millimeters thick, and lighter at 214 grams, which is 5 grams lighter than its predecessor. Meanwhile, the Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26+ retain their familiar design from previous years.
The main highlight of the Galaxy S26 Series this year is the Privacy Display screen, which is exclusive to the Galaxy S26 Ultra. This feature uses pixel-level light management on the display to narrow the viewing angle, allowing users to set it to activate automatically in certain apps.applicationssuch asapplicationsincluding banking apps, chat apps, or private notifications, to prevent people nearby from seeing on-screen information when viewed from oblique, top, or bottom angles.
This Privacy Display feature isembeddedat the hardware level, which does not directly affect screen brightness or image clarity when viewed straight on.
Samsung has added new features to Galaxy AI by reducing reliance on Google's AI technology and partnering with Perplexity. This allows users greater freedom in AI usage across Bixby, Gemini, and Perplexity platforms.
Additionally, Creative Studio expands on the previous Photo Assist by leveraging advanced Generative AI to help users creatively enhance and edit photos with professional-level assistance for every shot.
At the same time, Samsung has enhanced the user experience by adding the Now Nudge feature, an intelligent contextual suggestion system that reduces app-switching steps. For example, when discussing a tour schedule or appointment in a messaging app, the AI automatically pulls up calendar information as a pop-up to share details quickly with conversation partners.
The Galaxy S26’s design remains largely unchanged from its predecessor, with the main update being a cleaner, grouped layout for the rear camera module.
The device’s chipset varies by sales region between the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and Exynos 2600, with Thailand expected to receive the Exynos 2600 version.
The Galaxy S26’s battery capacity has been increased to 4,300 mAh, while other features such as the display and cameras remain the same.
The Galaxy S26 is available in four colors: Cobalt Violet, Sky Blue, White, and Black.

The Galaxy S26+ sees minor spec upgrades, such as Qi2 standard wireless charging supporting up to 20W, while its external design remains similar to the Galaxy S25+.

The top-tier Galaxy S26 Ultra features a redesigned body with more rounded corners for better hand comfort and is slimmer at 7.9 millimeters thick.
It has a 6.9-inch screen equipped with the standout Privacy Display feature, which prevents side-angle viewing of sensitive information at the hardware level without compromising clarity when viewed straight on. Samsung has also enlarged the vapor chamber for improved cooling, boosting heat dissipation by about 30 percent.
For photography, the Galaxy S26 Ultra retains the same sensor resolution but upgrades the aperture to allow brighter and steadier night video recording, enhancing Nightography Video capabilities.
Similarly, it supports prompts for image editing. The Galaxy S26 Ultra is the only model supporting the S Pen, available only in white and black, though it unfortunately lacks Bluetooth connectivity.
