Xiaomi elevates photography with a 1-inch LOFIC sensor and a mechanical zoom lens from Leica, while launching the Leica Leitzphone into the Thai market.
Xiaomi officially announced the launch of its new smartphones, the Xiaomi 17 Series and Leica Leitzphone, in Thailand, continuing its technological collaboration in photography with Leica.
The Xiaomi 17 Series includes two main models: the Xiaomi 17 and Xiaomi 17 Ultra. Both feature redesigned compact builds for easier handling and use new structural materials to enhance durability.

For photography, the Xiaomi 17 is equipped with a 1/1.31-inch Light Fusion 950 sensor and a Leica telephoto lens with a 60mm focal length designed for portrait shots and precise macro photography at close range of 10 cm.
The Xiaomi 17 uses Xiaomi Surge Battery technology, increasing silicon content by 16 percent to provide a capacity of 6,330mAh. It supports 100W fast charging and 50W wireless charging.

The camera system uses a Leica 200-megapixel lens with a mechanical optical zoom ranging from 75 to 100 mm following Leica APO standards, maintaining sharpness and reducing chromatic aberration throughout the zoom range. It supports cinematic 4K 120fps video recording on both the main and telephoto cameras.
