Apple officially launched the iPhone 17e yesterday, which is a considerable upgrade from the iPhone 16e released last year.
The first upgrade in the iPhone 17e compared to last year's iPhone 16e is its chipset, using the Apple A19 chip—the same as the standard iPhone 17 model. It includes added Neural Accelerators to speed up AI processing and features the C1X cellular modem chip to deliver faster and more stable internet connectivity.
Next, although the camera remains a single lens, it now includes automatic recognition of people and pets. It also pre-records depth data, allowing users to adjust focus points or background blur after taking photos through the Photos app.
Regarding durability, the device features a Ceramic Shield 2 screen, which improves scratch resistance by up to three times and includes a coating that reduces screen glare more effectively than the previous iPhone 16e.
Most importantly, Apple has doubled the base storage capacity from 128GB to 256GB, with the starting price set at 22,900 baht.
