Watch for Apples Launch of MacBook Neo, an Affordable Laptop, Possibly Tonight

After releasing the MacBook Air and MacBook Pro with M5 chips, Apple may not stop there; it is possibly planning to launch a new model called MacBook Neo, which will use the Apple A18 Pro chip.

Recently, reports indicate that Apple is developing a budget MacBook project. The existence of this project seems confirmed by leaked information from Apple's product certification documents, which mention the MacBook Neo under model number A3404.

The MacBook Neo even appeared briefly on Apple's official website before being quickly removed, but not before internet users captured screenshots in time.

What makes MacBook Neo interesting is that it is a laptop powered by an iPhone chipset rather than the M Series chips. It is expected to use the Apple A18 Pro chip, previously used in the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max, known for its energy efficiency. This allows the device's price to be lowered while maintaining adequate performance for everyday use.

MacBook Neo is positioned as a new series and an entry-level laptop that is more accessible to the general public, priced lower than the current MacBook Air. The price range is estimated between 600-700 U.S. dollars, approximately 20,000 baht, making it a potential competitor in the affordable laptop market.

Although there is no confirmed launch date for the MacBook Neo, technology insiders believe this new laptop could be officially unveiled on the evening of 4 March. It would serve as the final product launch of Apple's week-long event series that began on Monday, which included the iPhone 17e, iPad Air M4, MacBook Air, and MacBook Pro M5.
