Samsung revealed that the pre-order numbers forthe Galaxy S26 Seriesthis year have risen 1.4 times compared to last year, thanks to the arrival of AI technology and the Privacy Display feature, which help consumers focus on the high-end model for the first half of 2026.
Mr. Sitthichok Nopchinbutr, President of the Mobile Experience Business at Thai Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd., disclosed that pre-orders for the Galaxy S26 Series in Thailand grew 1.4 times compared to the previous year, marking a new record for flagship smartphones in the country.
At the same time, Samsung's growth aligns with consumer behavior emphasizing innovation in the Privacy Display screen technology, which prevents side-angle viewing of information. Surveys indicate that over 60 percent of customers consider privacy features a key factor in their purchase decisions.
Mr. Sitthichok added that Thailand is currently ranked among the top 5 countries worldwide with the highest readiness for AI Phones. Daily AI usage statistics show 36 percent, exceeding the global average of 24 percent.
Regarding the user base, Mr. Sitthichok noted that the Galaxy S Series in Thailand has continuously expanded, growing more than 230 percent in recent years. Notably, the user base has also expanded among Gen Z, which has grown by 25 percent.
