
realme has announced new smartphones in its Number Series, including the realme 16 Pro+ 5G, realme 16 Pro 5G, and realme 16 5G. These models emphasize photography, cooling systems, design, and large battery capacity.
This is the top model of the series, featuring what is called the LumaColor Portrait Master with a 200-megapixel sensor, along with a built-in 3.5x Periscope telephoto camera. It works with algorithms that create deep, dimensional portrait images and includes a FullFocal Portrait lens set covering from 0.6x to 4x zoom, supporting up to 120x zoom and 4K HDR video recording at every focal length.
The device is powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, paired with LPDDR5X 8400Mbps RAM, and features the AirFlow VC Cooling System for heat dissipation.
The realme 16 Pro+ 5G's display uses a HyperGlow 4D Curve+ panel measuring 6.8 inches with a 1.5K resolution and a maximum refresh rate of 144Hz, delivering very high brightness.Up to 6,500 nits.It also includes a 4,608Hz PWM dimming system to reduce screen flicker.
The realme 16 Pro 5G retains the Samsung HP5 200-megapixel main sensor, the same as the Pro+ model, with Super OIS stabilization. However, it switches to the Dimensity 7300-Max chipset.
The realme 16 5G introduces a Selfie Mirror—a rear mirror for the first time—to assist framing when using the main camera. It features a Sony IMX852 50-megapixel sensor dedicated to selfies.
The highlight ofthis series isthe battery, called “Titan” by realme, with a 7,000 mAh capacity. It incorporates power management algorithms, and realme claims it can support up to 1,600 charge cycles—about six years—while maintaining battery health above 80%. It also features Bypass Charging to supply power directly to the device without passing through the battery, reducing heat during heavy use or gaming.
Additionally, realme revealed that the realme 16 Series 5G was designed in collaboration with Naoto Fukasawa, using environmentally friendly Bio-based Organic Silicone materials. The phones are IP69 rated for water and dust resistance, able to withstand high-pressure water jets and temperatures up to 80 degrees Celsius, and are protected by Corning Gorilla Glass certified by TÜV Rheinland.
Alongside the launch of the realme 16 Series 5G, realme also introduced the realme Buds T500 Pro accessory.These wireless earbudsfeature 12.4mm drivers, support 50dB active noise cancellation (ANC), and AI Live Translation technology for real-time language translation through the earbuds. They also support the latest Bluetooth 6.1.
