Anthropic has begun testing a new feature that allows users to send commands via smartphone for Claude to handle computer tasks until completion.
Anthropic, the developer of Claude, announced an enhancement to its AI Agent capabilities by launching Dispatch, a new feature that enables users to issue commands remotely through their smartphones. Claude can then access and control the computer to perform various tasks such as launching applications, navigating web browsers, or managing spreadsheet data, all within the Claude Cowork platform.
In a demonstration video, Anthropic showcased a scenario where a user, rushing to a meeting, sends a message via mobile to Claude to manage presentation files, convert them to PDF, and immediately attach them to a meeting invitation email.
Currently, the competition in the AI Agent field is very intense, with OpenAI making strong efforts to develop AI Agents and alsoOpenClawwhich is an artificial intelligence that has become very popular at this time.
However, Anthropic stated that their AI development approach remains focused on safe usage. The system is designed to request user permission each time before accessing new applications to minimize risks and build user confidence.
