Samsung is adjusting its strategy to add a new Pro model planned for next year, aiming for a high-end version specifically to compete with the iPhone Pro.
Samsung is preparing a major strategic shift for its flagship smartphones in 2027 by adding a fourth model, the highest-tier in the Galaxy S series, called the Galaxy S27 Pro.
According to ETNews, this new model will be positioned above the Galaxy S Ultra, similar to Apple's approach with both Pro and Pro Max versions, differing mainly in screen size but sharing the same specifications.
The highlight of the Samsung Galaxy S27 Pro is that it will be a high-end smartphone, a status previously reserved for the Ultra model, featuring a 200-megapixel rear camera and Privacy Display technology, though the S Pen may be removed for better portability.
The arrival of the Galaxy S27 Pro is seen as Samsung’s move to recover after the previous model, the Galaxy S25 Edge, failed, leading to the cancellation of its marketing plans.
However, the marketing plan for the Galaxy S27 Pro is still in its early stages; it remains to be seen whether Samsung will finalize this strategy and how much impact it will have on the premium smartphone market segment.
