YouTube has released a tool that allows users to opt out of displaying short clips like YouTube Shorts on the home screen, supporting both Android and iOS operating systems.
Since YouTube entered the short video market following the TikTok trend by launching YouTube Shorts, many users have not been particularly fond of using Shorts.
After many years, YouTube has finally introduced a feature that lets users block access to Shorts, although this blocking is conditional and managed through the Time Management system.
This YouTube update adds an option to set the Shorts usage limit to zero minutes, down from the previous minimum of 15 minutes. Setting it to zero effectively blocks access to Shorts immediately.
Furthermore, whenever users attempt to access the YouTube Shorts tab, whether intentionally or not, a pop-up window will appear informing them that they have reached their usage limit.
This will disable the display of YouTube Shorts.
