SellCell Survey Reveals Apple Has the Highest Brand Loyalty

SellCell revealed that 13.6% of Android users have decisively switched brands, a sharp contrast to the handful of iPhone fans willing to move to Android, with price and value being the main reasons for their change of heart.

SellCell's 2026 annual survey of more than 5,000 U.S. smartphone users found that loyalty to the Apple brand remains strong. Apple has pushed iPhone's brand loyalty to a record high of 96.4%, breaking the previous record of 90.5% set in 2019.

This figure reflects that iPhone users almost never consider switching to other brands, regardless of how many options are available in the market.

More interestingly, the survey showed that 13.6% of Android users want to switch to iPhone, compared to only 3.6% of iPhone users considering a switch to Android, indicating that the switch rate toAppleis nearly four times higher.

This situation shows that Apple not only retains its existing customer base firmly but also continuously attracts users from competitors to join its ecosystem.

Delving into why iPhone fans remain loyal, over 60% cited satisfaction with the smooth and stable iOS user experience as the most important factor.

Following that, 17.4% pointed to their attachment to Apple’s ecosystem, which seamlessly connects all devices together.

Additionally, confidence in personal data security and ease of use are supplementary factors making switching difficult for this group. The only factor that might sway some users to switch to Android is price and value, especially amid challenging economic conditions.
