SellCell Survey Shows Apple Has the Highest Brand Loyalty

SellCell revealed that 13.6% of Android users have decisively switched brands, in contrast to only a small handful of iPhone fans who chose to move to Android, with price and value being the key reasons for changing minds.

SellCell's 2026 annual survey of over 5,000 smartphone users in the United States found that Apple’s brand loyalty remains strong. Apple has driven iPhone's Brand Loyalty to a record high of 96.4 percent, breaking its previous record of 90.5 percent set in 2019.

These figures reflect that iPhone users hardly consider switching to other brands, regardless of the many options available in the market.

Even more interesting is the direction of brand switching. The survey shows that 13.6 percent of Android users want to switch to iPhone, compared to only 3.6 percent of iPhone users considering switching to Android. This means the rate of switching to Apple is nearly four times higher.

This situation indicates that Apple not only retains its existing customer base firmly but also continuously attracts users from competitors to join its ecosystem.

Delving into why iPhone fans remain loyal to Apple, the most important factor for over 60 percent is satisfaction with the smooth and stable user experience of the iOS operating system.

The next factor is the attachment to Apple’s ecosystem, which seamlessly connects all devices, accounting for 17.4 percent.

Additionally, confidence in personal data security and ease of use further discourage users from switching. The only factor that might cause some users to switch to Android is price and value, especially in today’s challenging economic environment.
