Anticipation Builds for Special 20th Anniversary iPhone with Seamless Four-Edge Glass Design

The latest rumors about Apple’s major project for the 20th anniversary of the iPhone in 2027 predict a device design with a bezel-less screen on all four edges, featuring an ultra-thin body.

Although this year marks the launch of the iPhone 18, iPhone 18 Pro, and the new iPhone Ultra model expected to be the most expensive, attention is also turning toward the special 20th anniversary iPhone set for release in 2027.

According to Digital Chat Station, Apple is collaborating with Samsung to develop a display for the iPhone 20 that features a single-sheet glass design, inspired by the original concept from Sir Jonathan Ive, Apple's legendary former head of design, aiming for the most seamless device construction possible.

The key design feature of the iPhone 20 is a slightly curved screen on all four sides. This subtle curvature is intended to make the screen edges fade away, creating the illusion of no bezels. The goal is to provide a full-screen viewing experience that feels like using a smartphone on a single sheet of glass.

Beyond aesthetics, Apple plans to implement Pol-less technology—removing the Polarizer film layer from the display panel—in collaboration with Samsung. This will allow the screen to be thinner, brighter, and more energy-efficient than before.

The aim of the 20th anniversary iPhone is to be the most advanced smartphone Apple has ever developed, positioned to surpass the iPhone Ultra, and to set a new standard in the smartphone industry.
