
Xiaomi is preparing to launch its new smartphone, the Xiaomi 17 Max, first in China, along with wearable devices and headphones.
Xiaomi announced it will unveil its latest smartphone in China on 21 May. The highlight is the Xiaomi 17 Max, marking Xiaomi's first use of the "Max" branding in its flagship lineup to cater to users seeking a larger screen and longer usage time, distinguishing it from the more compact standard models.
The Xiaomi 17 Max will feature an AMOLED display.Measuring6.9 inches, paired with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset.
A standout feature of the Xiaomi 17 Max generating buzz is its large 8,000 mAh silicon-carbon battery, one of the biggest in current mainstream flagship smartphones. It supports 100W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging.
The camera system continues to be developed with the world-renowned brand Leica. The main camera boasts a high resolution of 200 megapixels, complemented by a 50MP ultrawide lens and a 50MP periscope telephoto lens offering 3x optical zoom. The phone will be available in three colors: White, Clear Blue, and Pixel Black.
Beyond the smartphone launch, Xiaomi is also set to introduce a range of new smart AIoT devices and products simultaneously, led bythe smart wristband,Xiaomi Smart Band 10 Pro, which features upgraded health sensors and more accurate sleep analysis. It supports NFC for payments, can connect with Xiaomi electric vehicles, and has improved compatibility with Apple's ecosystem.
Additionally, Xiaomi will debut its first open-ear wireless ear-clip headphones, powered by 11mm drivers and supporting high-resolution audio standards such as LHDC 5.0 and Hi-Res Gold. The event will also showcase the new Xiaomi YU7 GT electric SUV.
