A large number of Google Gemini users have been unable to use the AI tool normally, and Google has yet to provide any explanation.
Data from the website Downdetector indicates that Google Gemini began experiencing outages around 17:20, with reports of service unavailability sharply increasing by 19:20.
Most users reported that when entering prompts, Gemini failed to return any responses. Some users received error messages with codes 1706 and 1099.
As of now, Google has not revealed the cause of the problem nor provided any timeline for when the system will resume normal service.
However, at 19:44, Gemini service began to partially resume for some users.
