At Galaxy Unpacked 2026 held in London, England, at 8 p.m. Thailand time, the latest smartwatch series was unveiled.The "Samsung Galaxy Watch 9"was introduced by Samsung.This smartwatchis presented as the ultimate daily life companion.
This return is not just a minor redesign but an upgrade in processing performance, focusing heavily on AI-driven health features alongside a more comfortable design.
At first glance, the Galaxy Watch 9 retains the familiar "Squircle" design—a round dial on a softly curved square base—similar to previous models, but is slimmer and more comfortable to wear.
The real changes are subtle: Samsung has noticeably slimmed and lightened the aluminum case, allowing the watch to sit more naturally on the wrist, which greatly benefits all-day wear, especially during sleep without discomfort.
The case comes in two sizes, 40mm and 44mm, with new strap options focusing on comfort, including Sport Band, Misty Band (matte silicone), and Fabric Band (cloth strap).
The most significant upgrade in the Galaxy Watch 9 is the switch from the previous Exynos chip to the 3nm Snapdragon Wear Elite chipset (5-core) paired with 2GB RAM. This change results in noticeably smoother and faster performance of Wear OS 7 and One UI 9 Watch. App switching and complex health data processing run seamlessly. The display brightness is also upgraded to a maximum of 3,000 nits for clearer outdoor visibility.
Samsung has clearly positioned the Galaxy Watch 9 as a preventive health device, using AI to deeply analyze health data across four pillars: nutrition, sleep, exercise, and stress.
A standout feature is the measurement of AGEs (Advanced Glycation End Products), using sensors to analyze antioxidant levels through the skin to assess diet habits and long-term disease risks.
Additionally, Vitals and Heart Health Score features monitor vital signs and evaluate heart health during sleep, supporting sleep apnea detection which is FDA approved.(FDA)There is also a Raise to Talk feature, enabling users to lift their wrist to instantly command Google Gemini.
The launch prices for the SAMSUNG Galaxy Watch9 in Thailandare as follows: the 40mm Bluetooth model is 12,900 baht, LTE is 13,900 baht; the 44mm Bluetooth is 14,900 baht, and LTE is 15,900 baht. Pre-orders are open from 22 July to 13 August 2026.
