Rumors suggest that a major camera upgrade will be reserved exclusively for the iPhone 18 Pro, with analysts expecting the starting price to increase by several hundred dollars compared to the current model.
The soon-to-be-released iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max have been the subject of multiple rumors indicating that the Pro models will receive upgrades in three key areas: camera features, improved battery life, and increased prices.
The first area is the camera, which Apple has consistently used to differentiate the Pro models from others, especially in recent years. Rumors indicate two camera upgrades exclusive to the iPhone 18 Pro: a main camera with an adjustable aperture and a telephoto lens with a wider aperture.
Regarding the adjustable aperture, current rumors suggest it will be exclusive to the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Ultra models, likely excluding the iPhone Ultra, possibly due to device size limitations.
The telephoto camera remains a feature exclusive to the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, and will not be available on the iPhone Ultra. The Pro models will have telephoto lenses with wider apertures to improve low-light photography performance.
The second area is the battery, which has always been a strong point for the Pro line. All signs indicate that the iPhone 18 Pro will see significant improvements, with rumors suggesting both the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max will have larger batteries.
Information indicates that the iPhone 18 Pro Max eSIM version may have a 5,567 mAh battery, up from the iPhone 17 Pro Max's 5,088 mAh.
